Today was a travel day between Memphis, Tennessee and
Vicksburg, Mississippi. This was a
little more than 200 miles south of Memphis.
The day started off with the usual tire check, by Spence, of everyone’s
tires, and then the caravan began to move out in groups of 2, 3, or 4.

The rolling hills, with their corn fields and soy beans,
gave way to very flat land with almost all cotton fields and a few soy
beans. There were thousands of acres of
cotton and most were being picked and bundled for transporting. The cotton gins were busy this time of the
year.
The temperature in Vicksburg was much warmer than Memphis; however this did not keep anyone from the evening’s social hour and staff briefing on the great Vicksburg City tour for tomorrow.
