Today
is a travel day --- time to see what's around the next bend of the road.
The
road had lots of hills and curves some were like being on a rollercoaster and
did
you
notice, "The Hills are alive
with" -- "color."
The
Town of Louisiana is called the Mural Town There were several murals to see as
you drove through
town.

Then
near Clarksville is Lock and Dam 24. We were lucky to see a Tug that was
pushing
15
barges of scrap iron go through the lock.

Also
along the way we could see the farmers harvesting their crops.
When
we reached O'fallon it was Interstate time.
We worked our way to The St Louis West KOA to
set up and relax until travel briefing time.
Later
when it got dark a fire was started so we could have s’mores and doughboys and
enjoy one another’s
company.
Looks like some good doughboys coming up |
The first shot of the hillside is awesome!
