Rendezvous minus 3 days

Here we are in Bemidji, Minnesotta, getting ready to start our 31 Day "Great River Road" and Fall Colors tour with Adventure Caravans.  Ken and Carole Adams, our Wagonmasters and Spence and I (Spence and Madi Schaaf) Tailgunners, and a few other people arrived yesterday afternoon.  Today several more came in, anticipating a few days of gathering supplies, getting some rest and meeting all the other members of the caravan. 

Carole and I were already busy preparing to do our "in-rig" visits, distribute gifts, paperwork, and getting to know our fellow travelers.

In spite of intermittent heavy rain and showers, Spence was doing vehicle inspections, putting number stickers on, and Ken was busy making sure our Trip Logs and travel briefings were ready to go, as well as unloading their car and bays with the items we will be needing along the way.

This afternoon we had a social, which was well-attended.  In fact, the meeting room was getting quite full. 

 

It was a great time seeing old friends, meeting new ones.  The best is yet to come......................
